FABRICATION STAGES OF OUR "GARUDA_C.A.V."
Hello..!!! we all know that we purchased scrape from bangalore., and we made so many engineering modifications to each and every part as described on Wednesday, 23 july 2014., in this blog.. and we uploaded some of working stills in a garage @ anantapur... WE ARE NOT USED ANY SPECIAL KITS FOR MAKING OF OUR C.A.V..WE HAD DONE EACH AND EVERY MODIFICATIONS PERSONALLY.. and we used only mechanical components only.. ( not any electrical battaries or not any air engines..)" WE MADE MODIFICATIONS TO TVS VICTOR GL 4 STROKE S.I. ENGINE IN TO COMPRESSED AIR ENGINE"
we spent more than 40 days only for study and research for " what are the modifications and mechanical components have be use for achieving and for converting SI ENGINE into COMPRESSED AIR ENGINE..

CAV MILEAGE..
AirPod is a light, apparently one-seated car that's supposed to be able to run at between 45 and 70 kilometers an hour (28 to 43 miles per hour). Instead of running on gas or electricity, however, the engine is powered by a tank of compressed air, which can either be pumped in through a charging station or taken in while driving with the help of an electric engine. The car can also recapture some energy during braking, similar to current hybrid vehicles. The concept still seems a bit shaky, but it could offer cheaper and more environmentally friendly
According to MDI, the car can reach either 45 km/h (28 mph) or 70 km/h (44 mph), depending on the model, and has a 220-km (137-mile) range, supplied by a tank containing 200 liters of compressed air.it will be abilable in market 10 years are so...!!!!!

Blue-Print of Compressed Air Vehical (CAV):-
Compressed Air Car Advantages
* With top speeds around 65 mph and a range of over 100 miles, compressed air cars offer higher efficiency than most electric cars.
* Its only emissions are cold air.
* Some compressed air car models currently available in very limited quantities are very inexpensive (under $15,000)
* No additional infrastructure is necessary to support compressed air cars.
*The simplistic mechanical designs of the compressed air car are easy to understand, and won’t be susceptible to the kinds of damage brought on by battery use and combustion
Compressed Air Car Disadvantages
* The pump needed to compress the air requires electrical energywhich is currently produced using mostly fossil fuels.
The above figure is a basic layout of Our CAV.
VQA compressed-air vehicle (CAV) is powered by an air engine, using compressed air, which is
stored in a tank. Instead of mixing fuel with air and burning it in the engine
to drive pistons with hot expanding gases, compressed-air vehicles use the
expansion of compressed air to drive their pistons. One manufacturer claims to
have designed an engine that is 90 percent efficient.
Compressed-air propulsion may also be incorporated in hybrid systems, such as with battery electric propulsion. This kind of system is called a hybrid-pneumatic electric propulsion. Additionally, regenerative braking can also be used in conjunction with this system.
Technology
Engine
Typical compressed air engines use one or more expander pistons or rotary expanders. It is necessary to heat the air or the engine during expansion. For example, the Mekarski system heated compressed air with steam.
Tanks
The tanks must be designed to safety standards appropriate for a pressure vessel, such as ISO 11439.
The storage tank may be made of metal or composite materials. The fiber materials are considerably lighter than metals but generally more expensive. Metal tanks can withstand a large number of pressure cycles, but must be checked for corrosion periodically.
One company stores air in tanks at 4,500 pounds per square inch (about 30 MPa) and hold nearly 3,200 cubic feet (around 90 cubic metres) of air.
The tanks may be refilled at a service station equipped with heat exchangers, or in a few hours at home or in parking lots, plugging the car into the electrical grid via an on-board compressor. The cost of driving such a car is typically projected to be around €0.75 per 100 km, with a complete refill at the "tank-station" at about US$3.[citation needed]
Compressed air
Compressed air has a low energy density. In 300 bar containers, about 0.1 MJ/L and 0.1 MJ/kg is achievable, comparable to the values of electrochemical lead-acid batteries. While batteries can somewhat maintain their voltage throughout their discharge and chemical fuel tanks provide the same power densities from the first to the last litre, the pressure of compressed air tanks falls as air is drawn off. A consumer-automobile of conventional size and shape typically consumes 0.3-0.5 kWh (1.1-1.8 MJ) at the drive shaftper mile of use, though unconventional sizes may perform with significantly less.
Emission output
Like other non-combustion energy storage technologies, an air vehicle displaces the emission source from the vehicle's tail pipe to the central electrical generating plant. Where low emissions sources are available, net production of pollutants can be reduced. Emission control measures at a central generating plant may be more effective and less costly than treating the emissions of widely dispersed vehicles.
Since the compressed air is filtered to protect the compressor machinery, the air discharged has less suspended dust in it, though there may be carry-over of lubricants used in the engine.

COMPRESSED
AIR AS AN ALTERNATE FUEL
(AIR
POWERED CAR)
Compressed air engine
A Compressed air engine is
one that creates useful work by expanding compressed air. They have existed in many forms over the past two
centuries, ranging in size from handheld units to turbines up to several
hundred horsepower. Some types rely on pistons and cylinders, others use
turbines. Many compressed air engines improve their performance by heating the
incoming air, or the engine itself. Some took this a stage further and burnt
fuel in the cylinder or turbine, forming a type of internal combustion engine.
ABSTRACT:
Considering
that we live in a very mobile society, it's probably safe to assume that
you have. While pumping gas, you've undoubtedly noticed how much
the price of gas has soared in recent years. Gasoline,
which has been the main source of fuel for the history of cars, is becoming more and more expensive and impractical (especially
from an environmental standpoint). But cost is not the
only problem with using gasoline as our primary fuel. It
is also damaging to the environment, and since it is not a renewable resource, it will eventually run out. These factors are leading car
manufacturers to develop cars fueled by alternative
energies. One possible alternative is the air-powered
car. There are at least two ongoing projects that are
developing a new type of car that will run on compressed air. One among
them is the evolution Cars.
After more than thirty years experience with
combustion engines, the French
engineer Guy Negre has developed a concept of a totally non-polluting engine
for use in urban areas. This invention, which uses high
pressure (300 bar) compressed air to store the energy
needed for running the engine. When the air is injected into the cylinder
chamber, it expands to provide motive power. Oddly, the problem with a conventional four-stroke engine is that compression, combustion and expansion all
take place in a single cylinder. But here the engine divides these functions into a three-chamber
system, with one cylinder for compression, a small
chamber for combustion and a much larger cylinder for
expansion.
Zero Pollution Motors
is also working on a hybrid version of their engine that can run on traditional fuel in combination with air. Mono-energy engine
have demonstrated the viability of the new concept, the air and fuel, bi-energy,
engine will be introduced to major car manufacturers in order to study its
adaptation for their common models.
COUNCLUSION:-
Now a days gasoline becomes expensive
and it is Non- renewable resource which is available limited on earth. Also it
is not Eco-friendly and harming the environment. By using the Compressed air as
alternative fuel in IC Engines it becomes cheaper and efficient. Mean while it
is an Eco-friendly, Pollution free.
